After earning his Ph.D., he expanded his expertise internationally by working as a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, from 2014 to 2017, focusing on cardiovascular surgery and research. Since 2017, Dr. Shimizu has been contributing to cutting-edge research and clinical advancements at Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan.
