Dr. Shimizu began his medical career at Komaki City Hospital, Japan, where he served as an intern and resident in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology, between 2001 and 2004. He transitioned into a staff cardiologist role and later joined Anjo Kosei Hospital as a staff member in the Cardiology department from 2006 to 2009. After earning his Ph.D., he expanded his expertise internationally by working as a postdoctoral fellow at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, from 2014 to 2017, focusing on cardiovascular surgery and research. Since 2017, Dr. Shimizu has been contributing to cutting-edge research and clinical advancements at Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan.
