Dr. Sundeep Kumar is a Principal Scientist in Plant Biotechnology at the ICAR–National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi, specializing in plant genomics and molecular breeding. With over two decades of research experience, he has led major national and international collaborative projects on wheat genomics, climate resilience, and genetic resource management. His research spans genomic selection, GWAS, stress and disease resistance, bioinformatics tools, and SNP and SSR marker development, resulting in numerous high-impact publications, patents, databases, and registered genetic stocks. He is a Fellow and member of leading scientific academies, serves as editor and guest editor for reputed journals, and has received multiple prestigious national awards for scientific excellence.
